Privacy Policy
This is deliberately short, because we hold very little. Nothing you type into a game ever leaves your device.

The short version
Pairly Play is a website you can play without an account. There is nothing to sign up for, and we do not ask for your name, your email or anything about you.
Your game — which questions you have seen, whose turn it is, the names you type for players — is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us. If you clear your browser data, it is gone, and we have no copy.
What we store on your device
We use your browser’s local storage, not cookies, for the things that make the game work. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
- Your current round: the questions in it, your position, and player names you entered
- Which questions you have already seen, so they do not repeat until you have seen them all
- Your preferences: light or dark theme, reduced motion, haptics
- Whether you have dismissed the "add to home screen" prompt
What we collect on our servers
Nothing that identifies you. We do not run analytics, we do not set advertising cookies, and there is no account system, so there is no profile of you anywhere.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs — the kind every website generates — which include IP addresses and are used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse. We do not use them to build a picture of you.
Cookies
We do not set any cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
This will change if and when we introduce advertising, and at that point you will be asked before any advertising or analytics cookie is set — not after.
Children
Pairly Play is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone. Some questions are written for adults; the intensity setting exists so you can keep a session gentle.
Your rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing for us to give you a copy of or delete. You can remove everything this site has stored by clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings.
If you believe we hold something about you and want it removed, email support@pairlyplay.com and we will deal with it. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Changes
When this policy changes we will update the date at the top. If a change means we start collecting something we did not collect before, we will say so plainly rather than quietly editing a paragraph.
