The game needs to remember a few things between visits, and it uses your browser’s local storage for that. Local storage is not a cookie: it is never attached to a network request, so it cannot be read by us or by anyone else you visit.

Clearing site data for this domain in your browser settings removes all of it. The games will still work; you will simply start fresh.

Google still sees your IP address when your browser fetches the file, as it would for any file loaded from another site.

Advertising is how the free games stay free. Ads come from Google AdSense and load only if you agree — decline, or ignore the banner, and no advertising cookie is set at all and no ad request is made.

If you do agree, Google and the ad partners it works with may set cookies to choose which ads to show, to stop you seeing the same one repeatedly, and to measure whether an ad worked. You can withdraw that at any time by clearing site data for this domain, which resets the choice and removes what was stored.
